We are often asked the following questions about Rentway Storage, Inc. containers and trailers. Click the question to reveal the answer.
Does a storage container require planning commission permission or city permits?
Since storage containers are non-permanent, you are unlikely to run into trouble. To avoid unnecessary conflicts, please check with your City Planning Commission or City website before renting.
How secure are the storage containers?
We only rent STEEL containers. This is something we emphasize, because some companies only offer aluminum or plastic containers. Steel is much stronger and more theft resistant. Each of our containers have 4 steel locking bars.
What does a container weigh?
A 20 ft container weighs about 5000 lbs. A 40 ft container weighs about 10,000 lbs.
How much weight can I load in a container?
Typically a 20 ft container can handle of 40,000 lbs.
What if my trailer or container needs repair after rental?
If you find a problem that’s needs to be addressed, please contact our office and we will have someone come out and address the issue. Regular maintenance and repair are at no cost to you.
How far will you deliver?
We deliver anywhere in the State of Arkansas.
How soon is delivery from the time of order?
Delivery will be within 24 hours, and often we can deliver the same day. Weekend delivery is available with prior arrangement and possible additional charge.
What is required to set up an account?
Unlike our competitors, we only require a driver’s license and a major credit card.
How will I billed?
Upon delivery, we will bill your credit card for the first month rental, sales tax on rental, delivery and pick-up charges. Thereafter you will automatically be billed monthly. Invoices will be emailed to you when your credit card is billed.
What credit cards do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards (Amex, Discover, Mastercard and Visa).
Is condensation a problem?
Depending on the time of year, condensation or “sweat” may happen during temperature change. You should frequently check your container. If condensation occurs, a fan will usually take care of the problem. You can run an extension cord underneath the door gasket to a fan to keep the air circulating. It important to move the air in stagnant heat. Please cover contents that are subject to damage. We are not liable for damage caused by condensation.
Do you provide insurance coverage for our stored items?
Per our contract, we do not provide “content” insurance. Please check with your home insurance company to see if that is included in your policy. We recommend that you self insure your contents against damages. If items stored inside the trailer or container is damaged the liability rests with the renter. Please consult your insurance company to find out your options.
Is there a minimum or maximum rental period?
We require a minimum 1 month rental charge, you may keep the unit for as long as you need it, or you return it at any time.
Do I need to inspect the delivered equipment?
Upon delivery, please look over your trailer or container carefully. If you have any concerns, please alert our office. When you load your container, you are accepting the storage in its current condition.
What am I prohibited from storing?
You cannot store anything in our units that is illegal, paint material, flammable, hazardous waste, toxic, explosive, contaminated or controlled.
What are your additional fees or rate changes?
We do not charge any “admin” fees, deposits, taxes, fuel surcharges. Nor will we raise your rate during high rental season. We treat you like we want to be treated, fairly.
